Adding A Narrative

After receiving our feedback from various audience members, we realised that it was very difficult to satisfy our audience for the duration of the song with just a performance based video.

My idea for adding a narrative was originally to have a storyline from a girls point of view to begin showing her with her boyfriend in a fun relationship to really show the chemistry between the. This was ideally to reflect the lyrics at the start 'we started out as friends, it was cool but it was all pretend' to show them progress into something more than friends. This was where the idea came in that the male character would then give the female a note saying 'I love you' to signify the change in relationship status. As the song progresses, so does time, and the two begin to have problems which are reflected in the lyrics 'How come I never hear you say, I just wanna be with you' and this is the point where the two are seen arguing together and as the boy tries to get her back, she storms out of the door and down the street. Whilst storming down the street, the boy chases after her, but she shrugs him off relating to the lyrics 'I'm soo moving on'.

After this she then goes to a house party with her girl friends to show her having a good time without him around and so she can 'breathe for the first time'. However the boy then shows up at the party, but instead of reacting to it, she walks away past him and out the house with her girls by her side. At the end of the song she then takes the 'I love you' note out of her pocket and throws it on the floor to show that she has well and truly over him.

This video shows a smiliar idea of having the couple arguing at the beginning that I want to create.
