Today we met as a group in lesson and we talked through how well the shooting and filming had gone and how excited we were for post production. Jamie had copied all the files from the cameras over to a computer and worked out that altogether we had about 3hrs 15minutes worth of footage, including backstage footage. This shows that we have a lot of footage to use for a three minute video. Jamie was also very well prepared in going through each and every shot and clip on the file and renamed it to a description of it. This will mean that when we start editing the video, it will be much easier in trying to identify clips if they are named, and much easier to go through the long list of footage.
Now that we have all the footage, we're going to slowly progress through post production while bearing in mind the storyboard that I originally drew up and also go through all the clips we have. We did start to do this during the lesson and we identified problems and ideas we had to overcome these such as 'continuity' of shots as the ipod dock was moved a couple of time. Due to some of our group having important exams at the moment, we will begin to plan an action for the editing and slowly progress and maybe in the end come out with a few idea's for the overall music video and select which one is more effective.
Also from this meeting we decided we need to get the band together and into the school sooner rather than later to film the interview with them and some of our documentary as well. This way the filming is still fresh in their mind and it's one less thing to worry about.
