Shot list of Since You've Been Gone - Starfish

For our music video we have decided to use an illustration style, emphasizing on our bands performance. The performance will take place in a warehouse, with the idea that we might include some of the live performance as well.
As part of my shotlist, I’ve decided that it will be easier to assign shots for each camera we’re hiring out, instead of a sequence of events.

Camera 1
·         Shot 1 – Introduction of the band. Long shots of each of the band members getting into position
·         Shot 2 – Long shot of the band in their positions with their instruments
·         Shot 3 – Close up of Stephen
·         Shot 4 – Tilt up from Stephen’s guitar to his face
·         Shot 5 – Mid shot of Stephen
·         Shot 6 – Mid to long shot of the entire band
·         Shot 7 – Extreme close up of Stephens guitar, to pan up to the guitar neck and fingers
·         Shot 8 – Close up of Stephen’s face
·         Shot 9 – Pan down from Stephen’s face
·         Shot 10 – Handheld, low angle shot of Stephen
·         Shot 11 – Low angle shots of Stephen and his guitar
·         Shot 12 – Zoom in from mid shot to close up of Stephen’s guitar
Camera 2
·         Shot 1 – High angle shot of the band getting into position
·         Shot 2 – Long, side shot of the band from the right hand side
·         Shot 3 – Cuts to close up of Alan’s bass
·         Shot 4 – Focus on the neck and fingers of the bass
·         Shot 5 – Work down from the neck of the bass
·         Shot 6 – Low angle shot of the bass
·         Shot 6 – Low angle mid shot of Alan on his bass
·         Shot 7 – Close up of Alan singing along in the chorus
·         Shot 8 – Mid shot of Alan playing the bass
·         Shot 9 – Handheld shot of Alan playing the bass during the instrumental
·         Shot 10 – Also during the instrumental, include close up shots of the fingers and neck of the bass from different angles
·         Shot 11 – Pan around Alan whilst he’s playing the bass
·         Shot 12 – Quick zoom out from bass to Alan’s face
Camera 3
·         Shot 1 – Slow zoom out from blurred guitar
·         Shot 2 – Slow zoom out from blurred bass
·         Shot 3 – Pan down on Mark walking down stairs
·         Shot 4 – Slow zoom out from blurred drums
·         Shot 5 – Low shot of the band in position with their instruments
·         Shot 6 – Mid shot of the whole band from the left hand side
·         Shot 7 – Mid shot of Mark playing the guitar
·         Shot 8 – Close up of Marks face
·         Shot 9 – Zoom in from mid shot to Marks guitar
·         Shot 10 – Close up of Mark’s guitar
·         Shot 11 – During the instrumental break, focus on Mark’s guitar and panning the camera up to    the neck of it
·         Shot 12 – Follow the guitar and keep it in shot
·         Shot 13 – Allow Mark to move with the guitar, keeping the camera still
Camera 4
·         Shot 1 – High angle central shot of the band getting into position
·         Shot 2 – Long shot of the band from a central position behind the drummer
·         Shot 3 – Long shot of the band from behind the drummer to the side
·         Shot 4 – Side, low mid shot of the Alan T, the drummer, from behind
·         Shot 5 – Zoom in to the food pedal of the drum kit
·         Shot 6 – Zoom in to Alan’s drumsticks in his hand and then zoom out to a mid shot
·         Shot 7 – Zoom in to the symbols of the drum kit
·         Shot 8 – Close up of one of the drums in the drum se
·         Shot 9 – Pan around the drummer
·         Shot 10 – Behind shot of Alan on bass
·         Shot 11 – Behind shot of Stephen
·         Shot 12 – Behind shot of Mark on guitar

This is a very basic shot list that cover most of the shots that we’re looking to achieve.
