Meeting on locations

Our group were having a lot of problems with filming as we'd continually tried to contact Conington Airfield to ask if we could film, however we got no response at all. With this in mind it was crucial to get a location and Alconbury Airfield was suggested. I had known that the airfield run a driving school on disused runways, so I thought this was a much more reliable company to contact. I explained our situation and apologised for how short notice it was. Heres the email I sent;

Having sent the email on Wednesday night, by Thursday we decided we needed to confirm at least one location so we weren't wasting a filming day. We all discussed ideas as a group and decided that Tort Hill in Sawtry was a realistic idea, having open spaces for our band to perform. Paige was going to contact the council that evening to ask for permission. On Friday 14th January, Paige wasn't present at the group meeting but informed us that the council have given permission, so long as the band all signed consent forms. This ensured us of a location, however our band contacted us saying they'd prefer not to film in a field because it had been raining quite heavily. They then sent some pictures of a factory that they had as an idea, which looked a bit crowded so Jamie phoned up Alan, one of the band members, who assured us the pictures didnt do it justice. With this in mind, we decided to agree to the location as it was something similar to what we were originally looking for and Kerrin was going to email them back for directions and such.

When I returned home from school, I had noticed that Alconbury Airfield had responded to my email explaining that it was a bit too short of notice, but to email them back with further information and another date to see what they could do. This is quite hopeful for us if filming doesnt quite work out, or if we need any extra footage to film we could do so at a later date. Here is the response to my email;

Kerrin later phoned me to update me with the location and the band. Alan had emailed her that it was ok for us to film, but we were responsible for our own safety, he then sent her the address of the location. What we weren't prepared for was that the location was in Hertfordshire which is about a 90minute drive from our homes. Kerrin phoned to see if this was ok and whether we should film, however due to the filming deadline approaching fast, we felt it was best to go down there and record while we can. Luckily both Kerrin and I can drive, so we will both be driving down because of the extra help we're getting for the behind the scenes footage.

After confirming this, Kerrin then sent me directions to the locations and also suggested that the whole group meet at her house before we leave to go through a plan of action for the day of filming. The group are planning on meeting at 9.30am at Kerrins.
