Picture Storyboard

Today I decided to try and create a more improved storyboard through the use of photogrpahs. However due to a lot of people not having free lessons or revising, I could only manage to find one person willing to be 'the band' for me.

This storyboard puts focus on the drummer and the drum kit as well, and will also provide point of view shots from the drummers vision. As director I want to identify the person playing the instruments as well as focusing on the instruments themselves too. I want to create lots of close up shots of this and a number of shots that focus on the artist through the drum kit as in picture 3. This will identify the song as more directed towards the rock genre than the original which is more pop.

This storyboard puts focus on the guitarists of the band, which there are two of. Most of these shots here have shown the mystery of the guitarist. I want to put the focus on the strings, guitar and artist and when revealing the face of the guitarist I want to show it with the guitar in shot, so that it would be more like a mid shot. This way the audience can identify the male through his instrument which is important when introducing new bands.

The beginning of this storyboard is the style that I want to begin our music video with. All band members will walk in whilst the camera is low on the ground, and will only reveal their instruments and feet whilst they walk and pick up their instruments so they're ready to play. I think this is a unique way of introducing the band and will establish them as males before identifying their faces. I have also included lots of low angle shots to show the artist as superior and the final 3 shots of the storyboard will be done in a tracking motion and circle around the whole band, not just the individual members. By having lots of close up shots, movements and a shakey camera will create more of a visual of a rock video to reflect the genre of the band and the song they are performing.
